Our story
My husband (an agricultural consultant and long-time member of the breeders' association) and I (a former kindergarten teacher, working part-time as an educator since May 2015) run an organic farm and have been raising Scottish Highland cattle since 1997.
We also have a small flock of sheep and breed Belgian Tervuren Shepherds.
Our children grew up with animals and often helped us with many animal-related tasks. Over time, they have moved out of our home, but our grandchildren visit us regularly.

The name of our kennel, "vom Warchetal," which translates to "from the Warche Valley" in English, comes from the valley near where we live. This valley is traversed by the Warche, a river in Belgium, a right-bank tributary of the Amblève, and part of the Meuse river basin. The Warche Valley is a remarkable natural landscape and monument.
Our dogs live in enclosures with access to the house, the flower garden, and the sheep pasture.
Depending on their interests, our dogs accompany us on bike rides, horseback rides, hikes, and participate in obedience and agility exercises at our dog club.
Our puppies are accustomed to different people, including men, women, and children. They are also introduced to various types of food, both ready-made and fresh or raw.
(See the section: Dog Nutrition)
The puppies are born indoors. Starting at 3 weeks of age, a separate shed with a box is made available for the mother and her litter. Around 4 weeks of age, in mild weather, the puppies can leave the shed at any time to play outside. They have access to a specially designed puppy pen with various activities and toys where they can play and run freely.
Our puppies also have access to our house, garden, and the pasture with the sheep.
